History of the Embassy

The Republic of Singapore recognized Ukraine’s independence on 2 January 1992.

Diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Singapore were established on 31 March 1992.

The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Singapore was opened during the official visit of Foreign Minister of Ukraine Anatoliy Zlenko to Singapore in July 2003.

The first Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Singapore (non-resident) was Ihor Lytvyn in 1998-1999.

Rostyslav Bilodid also represented Ukraine to Singapore as a non-resident Ambassador in 2000-2002.

The first Ambassador of Ukraine with residence in Singapore was Olexander Horin in 2003-2006.

Viktor Mashtabei was Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Singapore in 2006-2009.

Pavlo Sultansky was Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Singapore in 2010-2015.

In November 2015 Dmytro Senik was appointed as Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Singapore and presented his credentials to President of the Republic of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam in February 2016.
