The Republic of Singapore recognized Ukraine’s independence on 2 January 1992.
Diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Singapore were established on 31 March 1992.
The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Singapore was opened during the official visit of Foreign Minister of Ukraine Anatoliy Zlenko to Singapore in July 2003.

In November 2015 Dmytro Senik was appointed as Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Singapore and presented his credentials to President of the Republic of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam in February 2016.
