On June 3, 2022, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Singapore H.E. Kateryna Zelenko held a press conference dedicated to 100 days of Ukraine's resistance to Russian aggression.
Journalists were informed about the current military and humanitarian situation in Ukraine, the consequences of the Russian invasion that affected Ukraine and the world. Ambassador Zelenko drew journalists' attention to glaring cases of violations of international law, including shelling of Ukrainian civilians by Russian troops and atrocities committed by the Russian military in the occupied territories. Kateryna Zelenko called on governments to continue their help to Ukraine in its fight against the aggressor-state by supplying military equipment, strengthening sanctions and providing financial support to Ukraine.
The Head of the diplomatic mission stressed global food security risks due to Russian aggression, including the blockade of Ukrainian ports.
Ambassador Zelenko also marked the support of the Government of Singapore, expressing gratitude for the sanctions imposed on Russia and humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine.
The press-conference was attended by representatives of Singapore, Brunei and international news outlets.
