On 21 January 2014 the people’s deputy of Ukraine, Co-Chairman of the Ukraine-Singapore Inter-Parliamentary Relations Group, Volodymyr Polochaninov during his stay in Singapore met with the Singapore Parliament member, the Head of Singapore-Europe Parliamentary Friendship Group Ellen Lee Geck Hoon.

The two MPs exchanged the views on their countries development after gaining the independence and the role of political leaders in State building.

MP E.Lee told her Ukrainian colleague about the daily routine of Singaporean parliamentarians in work with people in constituencies. They supported the idea of bringing Ukrainian MPs to attend a short-term studying course in the Parliament of Singapore and learn the Singapore’s successful experience of combating corruption, solving the languages issue, etc.
