On 25 February 2014 Ambassador of Ukraine in Singapore Pavlo Sultansky met with Dominic Goh, Director-General of Europe Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore.
Ambassador informed his Singaporean colleague about the latest developments in Ukraine, in particular return of internal political processes to the constitutional mainstream, efforts taken by politicians in order to stop the violence, forming of the new government and appointment of Mr O.Turchynov as the interim president of Ukraine.
Singapore looks with concern at the news from Ukraine, especially regarding speculations over the possible split of the country, D.Goh emphasized. He expressed hopes for the presidential elections in May to be conducted peacefully and in line with the democratic principles.
Both sides agreed on absence of obstacles for further development of multifaceted relations and cooperation between two nations.
According to Mr Goh, Singapore may provide assistance to Ukraine on the multilateral basis and in the framework of the Singapore Cooperation Program.
