On 18 May 2014, the film “Ivan the Powerful” directed by V.Andrienko was screened at the Shaw Lido within the 24th EU Film Festival in Singapore.

Ukrainian film for the second year in a row participated in the screening of European films organized by the European Union Delegation in the Republic of Singapore.

Before the movie started, Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore Pavlo Sultansky addressed the audience with the words of gratitude to the organizers. He also urged the viewers to learn more about Ukraine, not only from cinema but also visiting the country, and to support Ukrainians in their fight in an undeclared war of Moscow against Ukraine.

The film "Ivan the Powerful" does not leave anyone indifferent by the touching story of Ukrainian athlete. Some Singaporean viewers said that the Ukrainian cinema week should be organized in Singapore too.
