Participants welcomed the decision of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to celebrate this day as a memorial to the establishing of ideals of freedom and democracy in Ukraine, to honour patriotism and courage of citizens who defended democratic values, human rights and freedoms, national interests of our country and its choice of the European future.

Activists of the Ukrainian community recalled that the events of Maidan and Revolution of Dignity gave them an incentive to establish the national center in Singapore. They shared their plans on the events that the local Ukrainian community was preparing. According to the coordinators, A.Coen and V.Chaika, it is expected to complete the registration of a Ukrainian Club in Singapore soon, making it a part of the global network of Ukrainians.
