On 9 April 2015, Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore Pavlo Sultansky met with Mr Simon Li, Vice President, Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF).
Current Singapore-Ukraine cooperation was thoroughly discussed. It was noted that Russian aggression against Ukraine hinders furthering interaction between businesses of two parties.
Mr Li told about the SMF’s activity including promotional help to the members of the Federation and strengthening of their competitiveness. More than 99% of Singapore companies are SMEs. They annually contribute nearly 50% of the Singapore GDP.
SMF intends to encourage its members to examine opportunities in Ukraine. It was agreed to facilitate cooperation between SMEs of both countries by means of setting up virtual communicative platform.
