The Ambassador of Singapore to Ukraine S. de Cruz addressed the audience. Mdm Fedotova reminded the children of Ukrainian motorcyclist Ganna Grechishkina, who in December 2013 visited the Center and captured the hearts of young Singaporeans with dreams of distant travels, and told of her ongoing for almost two years in a row trip. On the occasion of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Independence of Singapore the diplomatic ladies gave the children cakes and cookies self-baked by national recipes.
The spouses representing 13 countries and the European Commission together with volunteers of RCVP Singapore and organization Willing Hearts cooked these goodies few days before taking part in a large-scale charity event in support of the elderly Singaporeans, which was attended by Dr Seetha Shanmugam, wife of Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K Shanmugam.
Media representatives within the coverage of the event asked of the motives for diplomatic wives to take part in the charity event. L. Fedotova explained that showing attention to the problems of Singaporeans, she personally believes that there are those among Singapore citizens who would come with support of Ukraine in times of its struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity in conditions of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
