The event, along with members of the Club was attended by the representatives of a Malaysian Rotary club, long-standing friends of Jurong Town Rotarians, etc. Ambassador of Ukraine Pavlo Sultansky as guest of honor congratulated those present on approaching of the approaching 50th Jubilee of the independence of the Republic of Singapore, he noted the dedicated work of Club members, which is embodied in the tangible results achieved by the Rotary Internnational globally, especially in eradicating Polio worldwide. Participants embraced with deep compassion Ambassador’s information about volunteer movement in Ukraine, which involves every tenth Ukrainian, making invaluable contribution to the fight against Russian invaders.
Rotarians see their goal not eradicating Polio only, but providing assistance for young talents’ education, promoting interethnic and inter-religious tolerance, educating others on the best examples of serving the public interest.
