Tens of thousands of Singaporeans, as well as high foreign guests mostly from South-East Asia, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Singapore, pioneers and many more were the audience to watch the grand show and military parade on the occasion of the anniversary of the Independence. The State Reception was held after spectacular entertainment.

Taking part in the anniversary's events, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore Pavlo Sultansky greeted the government leaders on the outstanding jubilee, bilateral agenda was tackled too. Prospects of cooperation in fight against corruption through transferring Singapore's experience to Ukrainian Anti-corruption Bureau, Singapore's consistent support of Ukraine in view of the Russian aggression and annexation of the Crimea were also discussed. Former President of Singapore S R Nathan in the conversation with Ambassador expressed confidence that Ukrainians would overcome with dignity the challenges that fell to their lot.
