Wide palette on the history and present of Ukrainian-Russian relations, which made clear the roots of Moscow's imperial encroachments, causes and consequences of its current military adventure in Ukraine, was presented to the participants - Singaporean researchers, scientists and businessmen.

The situation in occupied Crimea and certain territories of Donbas, abduction of Ukrainian citizens and their illegal detention in Russian prisons, flagrant violation of fundamental principles and norms of international law by the Kremlin's chieftains were among the issues discussed. The threats for the world posed by arrogant and cynical policy of the Kremlin were emphasized.

With reference to the US President Barack Obama's speech at the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, it was noted that there were no notion on "giving up on Ukraine". Singapore's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine was mentioned too.

Availing himself of the opportunity, the Ambassador accented on Ukraine's gratitude to the Government of Singapore and all the Singaporeans for their understanding and continued support for Ukraine during these difficult times.
