30 October 2015 10:32

On October 30, 2015 students of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, interested in research of the Crimean issue, met with Pavlo Sultansky, Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore.

The consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine and, first of all, the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula were discussed. It was emphasized that, under the occupation regime, local population was left in difficult sociopolitical situation, and the economy of Crimea was threatened by decline. At the same time the peninsula is being rapidly transformed into a military outpost of Russia, making its inhabitants hostages to the Kremlin.

The group of students intends to prepare analytical report, in which they will share views on the ways of resolving problems that arose due to the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation.
