On December 6, 2015 the annual ceremony of Christmas Tree consecration and decoration with symbols of countries, which are home for large Catholic communities, was held in St. Joseph Church – one of the largest Catholic churches in Singapore.
The Cathedral Choir of the Risen Christ (choirmaster – Sir Dr Peter Low) gave concert during the gathering. Well-known in Singapore and in dozens of other countries, the Choir performed numerous works dedicated to Christmas, including one of the popular Ukrainian Christmas carols. This year event featured honouring the memory of Singapore’s founder Lee Kuan Yew who passed away in spring 2015.
The heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Singapore decorated the Christmas Tree with national symbols of their countries. Ambassador Pavlo Sultansky with spouse represented Ukraine at the event.
