On 31 May 2025, the Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Mr. Oleksandr Kozenko had a meeting with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Singapore Mr. Melvyn Ong on the sidelines of the 22nd Asia Security Summit Shangri-La Dialogue held in Singapore.

The Deputy Minister of the Defence of Ukraine expressed gratitude for Singapore's clear and consistent position and the support provided to Ukraine in overcoming the negative consequences of the Russian aggression. Both countries share views on the importance of ensuring the rule of the international law as a foundation for sustainable peace and security in a rules-based world.

Mr. O.Kozenko congratulated his Singaporean colleague on the 60th anniversary of the Republic of Singapore and invited him to visit Ukraine.
