In the context of consolidating Ukraine's international support, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba had a telephone conversation with New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanaia Mahuta.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba informed his New Zealand counterpart about the current situation in the zone of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, on the state border of Ukraine and in the Black and Azov Sea regions. He stressed that Russia's aggressive actions pose a global threat and emphasized on the non-military dimension of Russian aggression, including Russia's efforts to destabilize the internal situation, economic and financial stability of Ukraine.

Nanaia Mahuta reaffirmed New Zealand's unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its readiness to work together with other partners to implement Russia's comprehensive deterrence package and to reduce tensions with aim to achieve political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict.

The ministers noted the high level of cooperation between Ukraine and New Zealand within the UN and other international organizations.

Dmytro Kuleba thanked New Zealand for supporting the Crimean Platform activity. He asked the New Zealand Side to take part in the Crimean Platform Parliamentary Summit in August.

Dmytro Kuleba and Nanaia Mahuta agreed to hold consultations with the competent authorities of Ukraine and New Zealand on cybersecurity. They also discussed the development of cooperation in trade, tourism and IT fields.

Ministers exchanged congratulations on the upcoming 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and New Zealand, which will be marked the next March 3, 2022.

Dmytro Kuleba invited Nanaia Mahuta to conduct a visit to Ukraine at her convenience.
