"One Voice for Ukraine" - a commemorative event is held in Singapore on 24 February
24 February 2026 23:52

Today, on the four-year mark of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, together with colleagues from the European Union Delegation in Singapore and in partnership with Singapore Press Club, Singapore Film Society, and Turkish Airlines, the Embassy of Ukraine in Singapore held a commemorative event «One Voice for Ukraine».

During the event, Singaporean journalist & filmmaker Megumi Lim, who is currently based in Kyiv, presented her multiple award-winning documentary «Night Shift» - a short film about people who work under the cover of darkness, navigating routine and risk, during Russia's night attacks when residents try to sleep. Those who stay awake to work do so for the city’s survival. The film explores how nighttime in Ukraine’s second-largest city of Kharkiv has transformed because of the war, as well as its nightly hope that dawn will arrive quietly, and the human need to carry on.

Ukrainian resistance remains unwavering. Ukraine strives for a lasting, sustainable, dignified peace – and we owe our deepest gratitude to the men and women who fight for the peaceful future of our country and all of Europe.
