Today, on April 14, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Singapore transfers the important and honourable mission of maintaining bilateral relations with Aotearoa to our fellow Embassy of Ukraine in Australia.

It was a great and exciting journey together with a team of professionals of New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and other authorities that we had an opportunity to work with. Together we made an important contribution to the development of fruitful relations between our countries.

We are extremely grateful to the people and the Government of New Zealand for their standing with Ukraine during the dire times of russian invasion. The wide range of measures implemented to support our country, from comprehensive political support within every possible international forum to humanitarian and defence assistance speak loudly and clearly for New Zealand’s stance toward protecting freedom and democracy.

Our special thanks to the fantastic Ukrainian community of New Zealand and all New Zealander volunteers and activists who help Ukraine today and mobilize public opinion, open discussions, media coverage and humanitarian assistance to help Ukraine and its people on the ground under difficult circumstances due to russian war against our country. Ukraine is blessed to have you all by our side!

We have no doubts that relations between our peaceful and friendly countries will continue to flourish. Our best wishes for the upcoming excellent cooperation between Embassy of Ukraine in Australia and MFAT colleagues.

And finally, the Embassy of Ukraine in Singapore avails itself of this opportunity to renew every Kiwi the assurance of its highest consideration and gratitude. New Zealand and its people have a special place in our hearts forever.
