On 16 January 2024, President of Ukraine H.E. Volodymyr Zelenksyy met President of the Republic of Singapore H.E. Tharman Shanmugaratnam on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2024 in Davos, Switzerland.

President of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Singapore for its humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, as well as its support for sanctions and UN resolutions.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also invited Singapore to join the Peace Formula and the Global Peace Summit preparations. 

During the meeting, prospective areas of cooperation, such as cybersecurity and agriculture were discussed. 

President of Ukraine informed his Singaporean counterpart on Ukraine's successful defense of free navigation in the Black Sea, which allows us to remain a global food security guarantor.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is interested in developing ties with Singapore and other countries in the region.
