On February 24, 2022, the Government of the Republic of Singapore condemned the Russian attack on Ukraine.
On February 28, 2022, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore H.E. Vivian Balakrishnan reaffirmed unacceptability of the Russian attack on Ukraine. His speech took place during the parliamentary hearings on the necessity to impose sanctions on Russia.
On March 5, 2022, the Government of the Republic of Singapore imposed export control measures as well as financial sanctions on the Russian Federation.
