The 8th meeting of Ukrainians of Singapore took place on 19 October 2013. This informal gatherings bring compatriots together to share the news, get some advice and, the last but not the least, to enjoy Ukrainian food cooked by themselves.

That was for the last time to gather at the house of Olga and Bruno Courbet. Along with the "Ukrainians in Singapore" forum, which already for two years unites Singaporean Ukrainians, the meetings at Courbet’s place are popular for the atmosphere of hospitality, sympathy and heartiness. The staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Singapore also repeatedly join local Ukrainian community at these gatherings.

This time meeting was marked by handing to Olga and Bruno the symbolic gifts –vyshyvanka (Ukrainian embroidered shirts) – for the good memories of their hospitality.
