On 16 February 2014, on the Team Garmin vessel at ONE˚15 Marina sailing club Ukrainian yachtswoman Kira Pecherska warmly welcomed the staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Singapore.

Kira became the first citizen of Ukraine to participate in Clipper Round the World Yacht Race that started in September 2013. The regatta route runs through France (Brest), Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), South Africa (Cape Town), several Australian cities, Singapore, China (Qingdao), Western and Eastern ports of the USA, Panama, Jamaica, Ireland, Netherlands and finishes in the UK in mid-July 2014.

The Ukrainian yachtswoman not only shared her impressions of almost have of a year trip and hardships of everyday life in the sea, but also told that everywhere the Team Garmin stopped she tried to deliver messages about her Motherland. The diplomats from Ukrainian Embassy strongly encouraged their fellow citizen on her mission.
