Elections in Europe on May 25 were discussed in Singapore

On May 8, 2014 the K.Adenauer Foundation Singapore organized a conference "The 2014 European Elections: Leadership Changes – Challenges and Impact on EU’s External Relations". The panelists addressed various urgent issues, inclusive situation in and around Ukraine. It was noted that the Revolution on Maidan, treacherous invasion by Russia of the CrimeanPeninsula and its annexation by the Kremlin awakened Europeans.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore Pavlo Sultansky participated in the event and draw attention of the EU representatives to European common values and EU’s sluggish reaction towards Moscow aggression against Ukraine. The panelists, having reiterated EU’s strong moral support for Ukraine, agreed that the Ukrainian side should be provided with significant practical support, as well as the sanctions against Russian aggressor should be consistently intensified.

The participants of the event spoke for successful, beneficial for the peoples of Europe parliamentary elections in the EU and presidential elections in Ukraine both scheduled for May 25, 2014.
