Ukrainian players could not arrive in advance in the equatorial Singapore and started the race barely getting off the board. Not all went on good during the competition, but the Ukrainian team managed to retain the 24th place in the world ranking and even earned the evaluation points.

Ambassador of Ukraine Pavlo Sultansky met with the team and coaches. Singaporean Ukrainians actively supported their team at the stadium waving Ukrainian national flags during the hockey tournament.
