The small in size but rich in hydrocarbons country with half a million population celebrates this day for the 31st time, demonstrating the success and achievements in developing infrastructure, being proud of prosperous households and high educational level of Bruneians.

The events traditionally held on the National Day were attended by the royal family, government officials, representatives of religious confessions and local diplomatic corps. Pavlo Sultansky, Ambassador of Ukraine to Brunei concurrently, while in Brunei capital for talks with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, was also in attendance. On the sidelines, he shared information with the Bruneian colleagues and the heads of the diplomatic missions accredited to Brunei on the situation in Ukraine and the resistance war of Ukrainians against the Russian aggressor.
