Ambassador extended his greetings to Mr Shaikh Ahmad on the occasion of the 31^st National Day of Brunei.

The current stage and prospects of Ukraine-Brunei cooperation, Ukraine’s internal developments and foreign policy were touched upon during the meeting, as well as the Kremlin's aggression against Ukraine, annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, results of the Normand Four meeting in Minsk and compliance with the ceasefire agreement.

The situation in the Crimea occupied by Russia was also discussed, in particular concerning the Crimean Tatars who were being brutally oppressed by the current puppet government, especially on religious grounds.

As a gesture of support to Ukraine Mr Shaikh Fadilah promised to consider the possibility of providing scholarships to young Ukrainians who are willing to study at the University of Brunei.
