Ambassador of Ukraine in Singapore P.Sultansky, the Embassy’s staff and their families participated in the regular informal meeting of Ukrainians - residents of Singapore, held on 7 July 2012.
Compatriots were again hospitably gathered at Olga and Bruno Courbet’s house.
Everyday problems, schools for children, business, the prospects of establishing a direct flight between Ukraine and Singapore and more issues were discussed in a relaxed atmosphere.
Different opinions about Ukraine’s daily life, future parliamentary elections, as well as the interaction of the local Ukrainian community during public actions initiated by the Embassy were heard in the context of the celebration of Constitution Day in Ukraine.
Sincere interest was shown to Dovzhenko’s movies screening at the School of Arts, Information and Media of Singapore scheduled to the end of August 2012, when the 21st anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence will be marked.
It was noted that the Internet-forum "Ukrainians in Singapore" launched last November is gradually gaining popularity among users.
