Internet-forum “Ukrainians in Singapore”, initiated in November 2011, performs it unifying role. This was stated at the meeting of Ukrainians – Singapore inhabitants, who were hospitably received by Bruno and Olga Courbet at their family house on 17 March. Those who gathered shared stories about their life in Singapore, spoke about arranging business here, professional and teaching activities. Topics of children’s education in local establishments, cost and, at the same time, quality of life in Singapore were discussed at the gathering. It was also not without wishes of establishing direct flight between Singapore and distant Motherland.
Staff of the Embassy, who attended meeting with the countrymen along with their families, took part in the discussions.
Peculiar feature of the event was that each family brought their favourite Ukrainian dishes cooked with their own hands.
