The Days of Oleksandr Dovzhenko were held in Singapore on 24, 27 and 28 August 2012.

The event was conducted by the Embassy jointly with the NTU School of Art, Design and Media on the occasion of the 21st Anniversary of Independence of Ukraine and within preparations to mark the 120th Anniversary of Oleksandr Dovzhenko birthday. Ambassador if Ukraine in Singapore Pavlo Sultansky opened the Days with the welcome speech.

Four movies were shown to the audience – representatives of local diplomatic corps, educational establishments, NGOs, business circles, mass-media and Ukrainians, residing in Singapore. Prof. Serhii Trymbach, the Head of the Head of the National Union of Ukrainian Cinematographers, who had been invited to Singapore to take part in the Dovzhenko Days, introduced the films and answered the questions.

Oleksandr Dovzhenko and some other famous Ukrainian film-makers posters were exhibited at the School of ADM within the Days.
