On September 20, Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Singapore Kateryna Zelenko held a meeting with the Director-General of the ASEAN Directorate in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Mark Neo.
The diplomats paid particular attention to the key aspects of cooperation and interaction between Ukraine and ASEAN member-states. Head of Ukrainian diplomatic mission highly appreciated granting of observer status to the Parliament of Ukraine within the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly. H. E. Ambassador stressed that such a step would provide new opportunities for Ukraine to present its position on the most pressing issues on both regional and international agenda in its dialogue with ASEAN member-states.
In view of the ASEAN’s leading role in the integration process in the South-East Asia region, it was agreed to further develop trade and economic collaboration, as well as continue joint efforts to address global challenges.
