The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba inaugurated the first ASEAN Research Centre in Ukraine, created within the Institute of International Relations of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University.

The opening ceremony took place on Tuesday, October 19, with the participation of the University’s top-management and the heads of diplomatic missions of Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia accredited in Ukraine.

The Minister noted that Ukraine’s strategy towards South-East Asia had been upgraded to the top foreign policy priorities of the country.

The Сenter's future activities will be aimed at establishing effective interaction between researchers and scientists as well as promoting humanitarian, educational, and interpersonal contacts between Ukraine and ASEAN member-states.
