On 5 July 2021, Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore Kateryna Zelenko met with Dr Lim Wee Kiak, Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Singapore and Chairman of the Singapore-Europe Regional Parliamentary Group.

They welcomed the existing friendly relations between the two states and noted the opportunities for their further development, in particular in the spheres of trade, food security, and IT. As the Chairman of the Singapore-Europe Regional Parliamentary Group, Dr Lim Wee Kiak supported the initiative to energize the inter-parliamentary cooperation between Singapore and Ukraine.

Kateryna Zelenko expressed appreciation for Singapore’s consistent position on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. During the conversation, the sides emphasized the necessity to unite international efforts to uphold the rule of law and address the global challenges.
