On June 24, 2014 at The Istana the Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam hosted the annual reception for the heads of the diplomatic missions.

The event was attended by about 170 foreign diplomats and Singaporean officials.

During the reception Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore Pavlo Sultansky approached the President Tony Tan, Deputy Prime Ministers Teo Chee Hean and Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Foreign Minister K Shanmugam, and expressed appreciation of Singapore’s consistent support for Ukraine at a very difficult time of combating terrorists and bandit formations in the Eastern regions sponsored by Moscow, and condemnation of Russia’s annexation of the Crimean Autonomous Republic.

Singapore politicians reiterated the country’s clear position on sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders as well as non-interference in internal affairs, and wished Ukraine to settle the conflict with Russia soon and return on the stable path of development.
