On August 9, 2014 Singapore solemnly celebrated its National Day having invited the heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the country to participate.

Ambassador of Ukraine Pavlo Sultansky who took part in the reception on this occasion congratulated Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on the 49th anniversary of Singapore’s independent route. He expressed his appreciation for the strong and consistent position taken by the government of Singapore in support of Ukraine at these grave times of struggle against Russian aggression.
